Gymnastics demo, free class

RUMFORD — Looking for something fun to do with your children over vacation?

A GRCC Gymnastics demonstration and free class will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Rumford Public Library, downstairs in the public room.

Watch a demonstration and then try out some gymnastics. This is a free program. All ages and all skill levels are encouraged to attend.

Red Hat Mommas plan lunch trip

RUMFORD — The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine will leave from the Dixfield Post Office at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 1, to have lunch at the Green Ladle at Lewiston High School.

Lunch is at 11 a.m.

Cost is $12 including tip and must be paid by Friday, April 25. Checks are to be made out to Isabel.

Twenty-five members of the group met on March 24 at the Methodist Church. They were served a spaghetti dinner by the ladies of the church.

The co-queen read some cute readings and a word game was played. One birthday was celebrated.

Vacation Bible School planned

DIXFIELD — Vacation Bible School for children age 3 and up will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Dixfield Congregational Church.

There will be crafts, games, snacks, songs and stories.
