Promising newcomers: Junior — Monica Harthorne Inf; Sophomores — Cody Akers Inf/P, Erika Whitman P/OF.

Season outlook: The Vikings finished sixth last year and beat third-ranked Messalonskee before losing to Bangor in the semifinals. West, Kahkonen and Winslow were all KVAC selections. The Vikings have experience and talent in a number of key positions. They’ll have some youth in some spots, but Oxford Hills should remain one of the better teams in Eastern A.
