Key loss: Matt Sekerak.
Promising newcomers: Sophomore — Cabot Lancaster (Util); Freshmen — Jacob Hickey (IF/P), Bennett Brooks (UTIL/P), Matt Ingram (C/P), Antonio Meucci (1B/OF).
Season outlook: With one of the most balanced teams in the MVC, the Ramblers should be in contention. Hanson and Allen return as the top two starters. There’s good speed, especially at the top of the order, with Stratton and Steele. Fortin expects them to be steady defensively again, although losing Sekerak for the season to a knee injury was a loss. The freshmen will be asked to fill out the pitching rotation and make things happen on the bases at the bottom of the order.
