HARTFORD — Announcement is made of the engagement of Tarrah Ashley Bowen of Hartford and Kristopher Richard Roach of Ellsworth.

Miss Bowen is the daughter of David Bowen of Hartford and Renee Therrien of Winthrop. She is a 2004 graduate of Lewiston High School and attended Middlebury College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience in 2009. She is currently finishing her last year of medical school at St. George’s University and plans to graduate in June with her doctorate degree in medicine. She will be starting her residency in pediatrics at East Carolina University in North Carolina this July. She plans to apply for a fellowship in neonatology after completing her residency.

Mr. Roach is the son of Donald and Sarah Roach of Ellsworth. He is a 2004 graduate of St. Gregory’s Preparatory School in Tucson, Ariz. He attended the University of Arizona and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physiology in 2009. He is finishing his final year of medical school at St. George’s University and plans to graduate in June with his doctorate degree in medicine. He will begin a residency in internal medicine at East Carolina University in July and plans to apply for a fellowship after completing his residency.

The wedding will be held on June 21 at Branch Lake in Ellsworth.
