1916 – 2014
Togus — Emile A. Poisson, 97, of Sabattus, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, April 17, at the V.A. Hospital.
He was born June 29, 1916, to Edouard and Emilie (Cormier) Poisson. In 1941, Emile entered the U.S. Army and served his country during World War II as a Private First Class military policemen and also as an interpreter.
He was a member of the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul, the former Knights of Columbus Council 106 and the former American Legion Post #22.
Emile was a very loving man who always thought of his family first and was always willing to help people in need.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeannine Cass and husband, William; granddaughters, Amy Trask and spouse, Scott Aube, and Jessica Morissette and husband, Gerry; great-grandchildren Dustie-Lyn Trask and companion, Russ Boudreau, Gabrielle Aube, Jaydon Morrissette and Dylan Morissette; and a great great-grandson to be, Bentley Boudreau.
A special thank you goes out to the Togus Hospice Staff for all they had done for Emile in his final moments. Also the family would like to give a big thank you to his daughter and husband for all that they’ve done for him and for taking great care of him in his declining years.
