AVON — An Avon man is accused of selling oxycodone and hydrocodone pills after more than 400 prescription pills were discovered at his home, Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said in a release.

Deputies executed a search warrant on Friday at 148 Avon Valley Road, he said.

Daryl “Poochie” Searles, 56, was arrested on felony charges of trafficking in scheduled drugs, oxycodone and hydrocodone, and unlawful trafficking in marijuana, the release said.

Deputies also found more than 1½ pounds of processed marijuana and $100,000 in cash and firearms, Nichols said.

The oxycodone and hydrocodone totaled 9,252 milligrams, he said.

Nichols has scheduled a news conference Tuesday at the Franklin County Jail in Farmington on the drug bust.

Searles was released Saturday on $2,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in a Farmington court June 3.
