FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Children’s Task Force, in partnership with the Farmington Rotary Club, will host a free pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Homestead Bakery on Broadway.

Parents and children are welcome to enjoy pancakes, fruit, milk and juice. Local Maine State Police Trooper Matt Casavant will read stories.

The Children’s Task Force will present each child with a blue pinwheel, a symbol of childhood.

The theme is Strengthening Families and Communities to recognize that it takes a total community effort to support Maine families and children.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
