AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — An Augusta woman has received a nine-month jail sentence for trafficking cocaine.

Justice Donald Marden sentenced Carol Jean Gordon on Tuesday to three years in jail with all but nine months suspended. She was also sentenced to two years’ probation and ordered to pay $800 in fines. The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to charges she sold cocaine at her home and on Water Street in Augusta. One of the sales was to an undercover agent.

The prosecutor said Gordon cooperated with officers when she was arrested and that out-of-state drug dealers who sold her heroin were facing six-year prison terms.
