LEWISTON — The Dream Team was established in 2013 as a way for Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice’s Hospice House employees, their families and friends to come together and raise funds to support the Hospice House annual 5K & Remembrance Walk.

This year, the run/walk events are scheduled for Sunday, May 18, at Central Maine Community College in Auburn, and Sunday, May 4,in Farmington.

The Dream Team raised more than $4,900 in 2013 and has set a goal of $11,000 for 2014. Their signature event, The Dream Team Live Auction and Dance, was held on March 15 and raised over $5,000 toward their goal.

To raise funds toward that goal, Missie Labbe-Mailot and her team will host a Dream Team Consignment Store from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 9, at the VFW lodge in Auburn.

“This is not a yard sale,” Labbe-Mailot said, “The sale will consist of only name brand items that are in good condition from Aeropostale, Carters, The Gap, American Eagle, Tommy Hilfiger, Old Navy to name a few.” Items for sale will range from, shoes, jewelry, hand bags, hats, clothes and more.” Prices will be set at $4 or less, or shoppers can donate $25 to fill a bag.

For more information on the consignment shop, contact Labbe-Mailot at the Hospice House at 777-7740, or email at [email protected].

Proceeds from the Hospice House 5K & Remembrance Walk benefit services for those families served at the Hospice House. For more information go to www.HHRunWalk.org.
