WILTON — A Wilton couple is facing charges stemming from two recent alleged shoplifting incidents at Walmart on the Wilton Road.

Monica Rollins, 32, was arrested on a charge of violating conditions of release Monday. She was also charged with criminal trespass and theft, Bonnie Pomeroy, Farmington police secretary said.

Her husband, Jeremy Rollins, 32, was issued a summons for theft after he admitted to shoplifting from the store in late March, she said.

After reviewing store video from May 2, store security alerted police to their presence in the store. A lot of food and some clothing items were taken, Pomeroy said.

Sgt. Michael Adcock went to their residence in Wilton on Monday night to interview the couple and made the charges. Monica Rollins was taken to Franklin County Detention Center.

She was not supposed to visit the store based on a no trespass order from last August, Pomeroy said. The order is good for a year. She’s not allowed in Walmart until Aug. 6 of this year.

Both are scheduled to appear in court on July 8, Pomeroy said.
