Fiddler Josh White, of Auburn, is one of the musicians performing with the multi-generational Great Falls Folk Orchestra at a community contra dance taking place at 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Bates College’s Chase Hall. The event starts with an hour-long family dance, and continues with more contras and couple dances until the last waltz at 10:30 p.m. Admission to the family dance is $1 per person; for the 8 p.m. program the charge is $6, or $3 for students (up to age 22).
