“The Jungle Book” is a collection of stories that relate the experiences of a human child, Mowgli, who is adopted and raised by wolves in an Indian jungle. As he grows up, he learns the ways of the jungle and the different personalities of its animals. He is accepted as a “wolf” by the other animals, but through a series of adventures in which he must defeat his sworn enemy, the tiger, and overcome many obstacles, he eventually comes to accept his humanness.

The cast of talented actors, ages 8 through 15, include Ruby Colwell, Lily Matos, Lilly Diversi, Emma Bourget, Makenzie Wade, and Deanna Plaisted, all from the Gardiner area; Nik Peterson, Emma Curtis, Kaylee Benoit, and Olivia Washburn, all from the Litchfield area; Annie Giroux of Wales; Alec Kane of Mt. Vernon; and Rose Jenkins of Kents Hill. The performance is directed by Lucy Rioux, assisted by Cindy Turcotte. The crew includes Wyatt Giroux, Isabella Coulombe, and Bob Giroux.
