1934 – 2014
LEWISTON — Homer E. Johnson, of Auburn, passed away on Tuesday, May 6.
He was born on Aug. 25, 1934, in Virginia, a son to the late Edward and Josephine Johnson.
He leaves behind his wife, Mary-Ann Bissonnette-Johnson; his children with Barbara Blackwell Jenkins, daughter, Linda and son-in-law, Ed Calhoun, of California and son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Angie Johnson, of Connecticut; grandson, Anthony Milner; three stepchildren, Diane, Susan and Richard and their children; three sisters, Geraldine Howard, Pauline Johnson and Blanche and brother-in-law, Melvin Sanford; a brother, Armond Johnson; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Homer served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. After an honorable discharge, he worked in the field of corrugated paper manufacturing and sales. He was a self-employed salesman and was very successful in his field. He loved helping others, his summers in Saco, the Blues and race cars.
