LISBON — The Lisbon DARE Program is partnering with the Bicycle Coalition of Maine to offer a bike ride Saturday, May 10, at the Lisbon Wellness Fair. The event is scheduled at the Lisbon Community School, 33 Mill St., from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Weather permitting, the events will be as follows: 10:30 to 10:45, register for bike ride and door prizes; 10:45 to 11:30, pre-ride safety talk; 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., bicycle ride; 12:15 to 12:30 p.m., door prize drawings.
Students should plan to bring their own bicycle and helmet to participate in the bike ride. All participants will be entered for door prizes.
Numerous door prizes will be awarded: water bottles, bicycle horn and gift certificates.. A raffle will also be held for a new bike.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will move inside to the gym and offer bicycle safety and helmet fittings.
