RANGELEY — The Wilhelm Reich Museum will hold a Hike-A-Thon at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, on the trails at Orgonon to benefit its Hands-On Children’s Activity Program.

Prizes and refreshment will be included at the museum’s conference center on Dodge Pond Road where the Hike-A-Thon will start. The money raised will be used to purchase a new Bouncy House and other items exclusive to children’s activities.

Each year, volunteers take items from the museum’s Discovery Room and do children’s outreach programs in the community, such as the Hands-on-Activity Area at Snodeo in January and the Logging Museum’s annual Logging Festival in July. Day care organizations are invited for a Fun Day at Orgonon in February.

The children’s hands-on activities and outreach programs are free.

Pledge sheets for the Hike-A-Thon can be picked up at local restaurants in Oquossoc, Rangeley and at the Rangeley Chamber of Commerce. For more information, call 864-3443.
