GARDINER — Modern Woodmen of America Chapter 13000 of West Gardiner will sponsor a fundraising supper to benefit the Maine Chapter, National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children. The event will be held Saturday, May 17, at the Capital Area Technical Center, 40 Pierce Drive, Augusta. There will be two seating times, one from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and another from 6 to 7.

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, chapters provide opportunities to connect through social activities and volunteer projects.

The menu for this supper includes an assortment of casserole dishes, salads and drinks prepared by Chef Izzy and students of the culinary arts program. There will also be an assortment of homemade desserts raffles and drawings.

The money raised will be matched by Modern Woodmen’s home office, up to $2,500, through the fraternal benefit society’s Matching Fund Program, and will be used to complete the construction and landscaping of the Maine Murder Victims’ Memorial Monument in Augusta.

For more information about how to contribute to the event, contact Arthur Jette at 270-2999.
