It was recently brought to my attention that Auburn needs a new high school. There are many reasons why this new school is needed. In my opinion, the most important reasons are the health issues and accreditation.
According to the Auburn School Department, there are health and safety issues concerning air quality, recurring mold issues and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance.
Those are important issues because indoor exposure to mold has increased, as well as the public awareness to the problem. Exposure to mold can cause a variety of health issues and symptoms, such as allergic reactions and respiratory problems.
Building a new school would be a good choice because it would solve many of the health problems the students are facing.
I strongly believe Auburn needs a new high school.
Researching this topic really helped me understand some of the dangers at the school, especially the mold issues, as well as the students’ educational futures.
Students and community members need a good school where they don’t have to worry about mold being a problem with their health, and that the school will meet accreditation standards.
We need a school where our minds can grow, and we have the tools and ability to learn new things each and every day.
To meet the educational needs in our community, the public needs to be more aware of the need and support the building of a new high school.
