FRYEBURG — A little bit of Hollywood will come to The Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center on Friday, May 16. The 3rd annual Fryeburg “Academy Awards” will feature original short films written, produced, directed, and edited by Fryeburg Academy students over the last year. At 6:30 p.m. the sharply dressed filmmakers will arrive by limo and walk the red carpet through a crowd of paparazzi into the LHE/PAC lobby. Once inside there will be a selection of nominated films in a number of categories. There will also be live entertainment by an assortment of student performers and a guest “celebrity” master of ceremonies. This is a free community event, but donations are accepted to help support the Fryeburg Academy film program.

The Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center is at 18 Bradley Street. Call 207-935-9232 or email [email protected] for more information.
