1922 – 2014

AUBURN — Robinetta Titus Mixer, of 23 Old Carriage Road, Auburn, passed away Sunday, May 11, at Clover Health Care, with her family by her side.

She was born on June 2, 1922, a daughter of Rethwell and Doris Leslie Titus. She attended the one-room schoolhouse in North Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1940. On June 7, 1946, she married a classmate, Wilfred M. Mixer, of Minot; he predeceased her in September 1984. They lived in Minot until 1963, when Wilfred’s work for Champion Spark Plug Co. transferred him to the Boston area. She returned to Auburn in spring 1985, moving to Old Carriage Condominiums.

Robinetta was a member of United Methodist Church of Auburn. She enjoyed activities at church, including her Circle Group, Christmas fairs, luncheons and concerts. Upon her return to Auburn, she reunited with Edward Little classmates and delighted in monthly luncheons and helped in planning their class reunions.

Family was her focus — “Aunt Bobbie” loved to attend weddings, showers and graduations for her many nieces and nephews. She served as treasurer of Old Carriage Condominiums for 15 years, until 2000.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Wagner and her husband, David Wagner, of Springtown, Texas; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Wagner Hopkins and her husband, Richard Hopkins, and great-granddaughter, Robinetta Marie Hopkins, of Marengo, Ohio. She is also survived by her sister, Clarissa Damon and her husband, Clifford Damon, and a sister-in-law, Jean Titus, all of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Alma Martin; and two brothers, Charles “Bud” Titus and Leslie Titus.
