TURNER — Hector “Jess” L. Creamer Jr., 86, of Turner, passed away Saturday night, May 10, at his home with his family by his side, following a long illness.

He was born in Auburn on Sept. 29, 1927, the son of the late Hector and Ruby (Campbell) Creamer Sr. He grew up in the Auburn area and attended local schools, graduating from Edward Little High School, Class of 1948. On Jan. 5, 1957, he married Merlene Pease and they started a family together.

Hector worked as an electronics technician for over 34 years, both for the Air Force and the U.S. government. Hector was also a former member of the Ham Radio Operator Club.

He enjoyed flying and being a pilot. He took great pride in the fact that he built his own ultralight plane and would regularly fly it. Hector loved fishing, hunting and boating. He was very active with his son and grandchildren, and his love for his dog, Oliver, was very strong.
