1918 – 2014

AUBURN — Yvonne St. Pierre, 95, formerly of 10 Oak St., Lewiston, died Monday, May 12, at Clover Health Care.

She was born in Lewiston on June 28, 1918, a daughter of the late Adelard and Lucie Poulin Vachon.

Yvonne was married to the late Lucien St. Pierre, of Brunswick, on Oct. 25, 1941; they celebrated more than 50 years together. Lucien died on Jan. 17, 1998.

She was employed as a CNA for 27 years at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Yvonne enjoyed get-togethers with family and was an avid reader. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish and the Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

Survivors include two sons, Claude and his wife, Jeannine, and Lucien and his wife, Lucille, all of Lewiston; two daughters, Sr. Pauline St. Pierre, SMSM, of Waltham, Mass., and Diane Violette of Brockton, Mass.; grandchildren, Richard and wife, Amy St. Pierre, of Poland, William and wife, Linnea St. Pierre, of Auburn, Judy Fournier of Sabattus, Jessica and husband, Raymond Gambardella, of Taunton, Mass., and Joline and husband, Steve Sarcia, of Brockton, Mass.; 15 great-grandchildren, Matthew and wife, Amy, Alex, Taylor, Savannah, Nicholas, Rebecca, Kenneth, Timothy Joseph, Zachary, Michael, Abigail, Anthony, Austin, Lily and Frankie; and two great-great-granddaughters, Payton and Karli.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Roland and Roger Vachon; and five sisters, Jeannette Castonguay, Juliette Blais, Therese Sylvia, Liane LeBrun and Cecile St. Pierre.
