LEWISTON — The YWCA of Central Maine will offer a five-week three-dimensional art class on the making of paper mache sculptures.
From the basic to the ornate, learn how to make paper mache sculptures out of recycled material. Students will design and construct up to three sculptures and create a finishing coat with either magazines or brightly colored paint. Paper mache sculpting is fun and simple to learn, no previous experience is needed.
Classes for children ages 4 to 7 will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. running Tuesdays, May 20 through June 17. Classes for 8 to 12 years old will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, May 22 through June 19.
Members cost is $45 for five classes; non-members, $55 for five classes. Register by calling 795-4050.
