MEXICO — A Mexico man was arrested Tuesday evening on charges of aggravated assault and terrorizing, police Chief Roy Hodsdon said Wednesday afternoon.

Hodsdon said that officer Josh Aylward arrested Mark John Sinclair, 20, of Mexico at 8:47 p.m. Tuesday on Osgood Avenue on charges of aggravated assault, terrorizing, stalking and two counts of violation of bail conditions.

Aylward responded to a residence on Osgood Avenue after someone called the Mexico Police Department, claiming they had seen Sinclair assaulting a woman, Hodsdon said.

“Upon investigating, we confirmed that there was an assault, and we subsequently arrested Sinclair, who was cooperative with us,” Hodsdon said.

Sinclair was charged with aggravated assault, Hodsdon said, because the victim received “severe injuries to her face.”

Hodsdon added that the stalking charge stemmed from an incident in Biddeford that Sinclair was involved in.

Sinclair was transported to Oxford County Jail.
