1938 – 2014
AUBURN — Kingston P. Bickford, 76, of Wilton, died peacefully at the Hospice House on Tuesday, May 13.
He was born in Bowdoin on Jan. 10, 1938, a son of Lendall and Lillian Bickford. He was employed by G.H. Bass for many years and married Lauralee Wardwell of Wilton.
His favorite hobby was fishing and he will be remembered as a very generous, kind and forgiving soul, who loved to tell stories and was lovingly considered the family “social butterfly.”
He is survived by his wife, Lauralee, of Wilton; daughters, Samantha Foss and her fiancé, Simon Clarkson, of Livermore Falls and Loretta Maillie and her husband, Dean, of Farmington; grandchildren, Jamie Foss, Albert K. Maillie and Sophita Maillie; siblings, John Bickford and his wife, Brenda, of Industry, Mary Smith and her husband, Clarence “Smitty,” of Mexico and Freddie Bickford and his wife, Gayle, of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
