SOUTH BERWICK — Police have brought charges against a former Berwick Academy chemistry teacher and girls’ basketball coach who’s accused of taking photos up girls’ skirts and dresses.
Police charged 54-year-old Brian Sanborn of Sanford on Tuesday with a count of violation of privacy. But police expect to file more charges against Sanborn.
He’s currently free on $2,000 bail.
Berwick Academy fired Sanborn after the allegations first surfaced earlier this month.
Sanborn is accused of taking the photos and video of unsuspecting students in the classroom and around campus. Police say there’s no evidence he shared the photos with others.
He previously told WMTW-TV that was sorry for the “pain and shame” he caused.
