1955 – 2014

FARMINGTON — Thayden C. Farrington, 58, of Industry, passed away on Sunday, May 18, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Farmington on Oct. 31, 1955, the son of Thayden M. and Nora Farrington. He attended school in Wilton and graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1974. Thayden married his high school sweetheart, Kim Rinaldi, in December 1973; together, they raised three children. She passed away in 1998.

As a young man, Thayden worked for IGA and Forster Manufacturing as a mason’s tender and a shoe stitcher. He later delivered milk for Bailey Hill Farm and worked in the woods with his cousin, Jeff. He also worked at Jackson Labs for several years, before starting his own business, Thayden’s Photography, which he enjoyed doing until his death.

Throughout his many careers, what he enjoyed most was working with his father on the family farm in Dryden, where he grew up, surrounded by grandparents and cousins, whom he had many fond memories of. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, whether it be hunting, square dancing or going to their sporting events.

Thayden is survived by three daughters, Carrie Farrington-Ortiz and her husband, Alex, of Freeport, Fla., Sarah Nicholas and her husband, John, of Temple and their children, James, Elizabeth, Tucker and Benjamin, and Jesse Mallett and her husband, Robert, of Farmington; his parents; brother-in-law, Buzz; niece, Jennifer Gordon; and his in-laws, Anthony and Dorothy Rinaldi.

He was predeceased by his wife, Kim; and his sister, Wanda Farrington-Buzzell.
