FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue RDS Music Department has announced the end-of-year concerts in area schools. The concerts present the culmination of a yearlong process of practicing and learning musical performance practices, technical skills and music reading.

The Mt. Blue High School band, chorus and orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, in Bjorn Auditorium. The ensembles are under the direction of Karen Beacham, Steven Muise and Carol Shumway.

The Cape Cod Hill School elementary band, choruses and orchestras will present their concert at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, in the school gym. The ensembles will be directed by Karen Beacham, Lindsay Burke and Nancy Beacham.

The Mt. Blue Middle School music concert and art show will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, in the school gym. The public is invited to go early and stay late to view the display of artwork under the direction of art teacher Danielle Guerrette. Directing the school’s band, chorus and orchestra are Darryl Pike, Lindsay Burke and Steven Muise.

The Cascade Brook School fourth- and fifth-grade student musicians will perform at 10 a.m. and again at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, June 5, in the school cafetorium. Directing the band chorus and orchestras are Karen Beacham, Mark Phillips and Nancy Beacham.

Also on Thursday, June 5, the student musicians at the Academy Hill School will present their concert at 1:30 p.m. in the school gym. Darryl Pike, Lindsay Burke and Steven Muise will direct the bands, choruses and orchestras.

Concluding the concert season will be the sixth-grade musicians at Cascade Brook School on Friday June 6. Concert times are 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. in the school cafetorium. Directing the band, chorus and orchestra are Karen Beacham, Mark Phillips and Nancy Beacham.
