1984 – 2014

MONMOUTH — Philip M. Coward, 30, a resident of Wilson Pond Road in North Monmouth, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 21.

Phil was born in Brunswick on May 16, 1984, a son of Thomas G. Coward and Cheryl L. McDonald Coward. He attended Brunswick and Monmouth schools, and worked as a foreman at Maine State Foundations, LLC.

Philip was an energetic, outgoing and happy person, always eager to lend a helping hand. Phil loved being outdoors and loved life, family and friends, who all meant so much to him. He enjoyed snowboarding, boating and target shooting. He loved spending time with his fiancée and playing with his daughters and his dogs. He loved his job and was a hard worker.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Lisa Coward of Monmouth; his fiancée, Justine Schroeder; his two precious daughters, Amaya Patterson and Kaeli Coward of North Monmouth; his sister, Jessica Wilbur and her husband, Jesse Wilbur, of Madrid; his sister, Crystal Hatch and her husband, Brian Hatch, of Leeds; his brother, Brian Hlister, of Los Angeles, Calif.; his brother, Dale Coward, of Auburn; his sister, Nicole Coward, of Monmouth; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Cheryl L. Coward.
