POLAND — Tang Lintereur, 81, of Poland died at home on Thursday, May 22, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Calgary, Alberta, to Ida and William Tyndall. After retiring from her nursing career at Rhode Island Hospital, she and her husband, Paul, moved to Maine to be closer to their youngest grandchild.

Tang was a life-long Christian and a devoted member of Hosanna New Testament Church. Throughout her life, she volunteered for many organizations, including the Girl Scouts of America, the Ronald McDonald House and the Ladd School.

She had a joy for life and delighted in many things, including gardening, knitting, sewing, bird watching, painting, writing poetry and anything related to the arts. She especially enjoyed spending time outdoors admiring the beautiful world God created.

In 1956, Tang and her classmate, Leith, made history by riding across Canada on her blue Ariel motorcycle.
