DEAR SUN SPOTS: Recently I read about a Rawleigh dealer that is phasing out its business. At the time I did not write down the information.
I want to purchase some Rawleigh medicated ointment. I have used this ointment for relief of colds discomfort and congestion for years, ever since I was a child. I looked on the Internet to see if I could find a dealer in Maine, without success.
I got an 800 number, but when I called I got a voicemail to leave a telephone number where I can be contacted. I tried this two different days. I do not want to leave my telephone number.
My husband had been selling Rawleigh products on the side. I have finally come to the end of his supply. I will appreciate your help. Thank you. — Esther, [email protected]
ANSWER: Sun Spots doesn’t know what the story is with dealers, but why not just buy directly online? There are several sites, including www.rawleigh-products.com. You could also call and order at 800-992-1089.
Perhaps the company decided it was more cost effective to just sell online than have local representatives, but if there are still dealers around, surely they will let Sun Spots know.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: What would we do without you? I’ve emailed you before with good results, so here I am again. I have two Tupperware dishes with covers. The bowls are in top shape; the covers are warped. Do you know of anyone local whom I could call ? — [email protected]
ANSWER: It has been a while since Sun Spots has had a Tupperware question, so she doesn’t have a current seller in her Rolodex. You can buy some replacement lids at tupperware.com.
You can also search for a local consultant based on your address on the website, http://order.tupperware.com/coe/app/tup_party.consultant_finder
Meanwhile, anybody out there sell Tupperware?
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would love to know where I can purchase Skechers sport sneakers with a low back. I really love these, but I cannot find a place where they are sold. Does anyone know where I might be able to get them? Thank you. — No Name, Chesterville
ANSWER: If you were online, you could buy them directly at skechers.com. Alternatively, they have an outlet store in Kittery. Sun Spots didn’t find anything closer.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: The members of the Norway High School Alumni Committee faithfully read your column and hope you can help us reach to former Norway High students.
The Norway High School Alumni Association is holding its annual banquet on Saturday, July 19. We would like to extend an invitation to anyone who ever attended Norway High School; they need not have graduated.
Norway High School became part of Oxford Hills SAD 17 in the early 1960s. Many students began high school at Norway in the late 1950s but graduated from Oxford Hills. Other students may have transferred to other schools or joined the military. All are welcome.
We also welcome spouses of deceased students if they would like to join us.
This past year we had representatives from classes in the 1930s, ’40s, ’50s and ’60s.
The July 19th banquet will be held at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. A meet and greet begins at 4:30 p.m. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m. The cost of dinner is $15 per person. Reservations are required.
For more information, please call me at 207-539-4188 or Ruth at 207-744-9069 or send an email to [email protected]. — June Tracy, Otisfield
