Southern gospel music, testimonies

RUMFORD — The East Wind Gospel Singers will share the gospel through southern gospel music and testimonies at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the Rumford Baptist Church, corner of Plymouth Avenue and Washington Street.

The group consists of Charles Barrett, John Guy, and Nancy and Phil Perry.

Bethel Senior Citizens Club

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Alliance Church, across from Telstar, for their meeting and luncheon.

The menu is a variety of summer salads and rolls for those who wish to make a sandwich.

Cost is $10.

Lithuanian Heritage Club meeting

RUMFORD — The Lithuanian Heritage Club has scheduled a meeting at noon Wednesday, June 4, at Sam’s Italians, Route 2.

The group’s goal is to study and preserve Lithuanian culture and heritage. A wonderful presentation of the traditional Lithuanian Easter season, Velykas, was given by Pat Hopkins at the close of the May meeting.

June’s topic will focus on the country of Lithuania and its different regions. The discussion will be led by Connie Cassidy and David Botkus.

New and old members are invited to attend.

RUMFORD — The Mexico High School Class of 1964 will have their class luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Gatch’s Place.
