AUBURN — Town Flower Farm at 42 Fern St. will be the site of the Festival for Sustainable Skills from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31.

Betty Allen, instructor and urban farmer, and other speakers will share skills to sustain quality of life in uncertain times.

There is a seating limit of 20 per speaker.

Topics will include sustainable skills for home, sustainable community organizations and urban farming in Auburn.

Demonstrations will include making safe, effective, inexpensive homemade household cleaner and hand and body lotion easily in the kitchen.

There will be a herbalist-guided tour of backyard medicinal herbs, which some call weeds. Be properly introduced to the medicinal plant world.

Bring your own picnic to the mini meadow at Town Flower Farm.

There will be no charge; donations are accepted.
