1981 – 2014

LEWISTON — Jeremy Lee Cowin, 32, of Lewiston, died unexpectedly of natural causes in his home.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1981, in Aurora, Colo., to Fred and Debra Cowin. Jeremy grew up in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and in Bethel, where he graduated from Gould Academy.

He loved his family, skiing and art. Jeremy touched the lives of many through his art, often giving away portraits or paintings. In recent years, many of his paintings were sold and his career in the art world had begun in earnest.

In addition to his parents, Fred and Debra of Newry, he is survived by his brother, Spencer Cowin, of York; and sisters, Tara Cowin of Greenville and Shelby Cowin of Newry. He also leaves behind his niece, Georgia Madison Gray; and grandparents, Fred and Phyllis Cowin.
