LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens will meet on June 2.

There will be an ice cream social and a surprise activity after the meeting.

There will be no general meetings in July and August. The next meeting will be Sept. 8.

Senior Fun Day will take place Thursday, Aug. 7, at Lost Valley. For more information, call 513-3059.

On April 7 the group was led in a laughter yoga class by Jessica McKneally, a yoga instructor from the Portland area. McKneally talked about the benefits of laughter yoga to physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Following the class, they had an Easter bonnet parade and contest. Dolores Danforth won for the most original bonnet. Jeannette St. Pierre won for the funniest bonnet.

April birthdays were celebrated with cake and coffee.

On May 5 the group had a spaghetti lunch from Sam’s Italian Sandwich Shop. May birthdays were celebrated with a cake made by Rachel Auteuil.
