OXFORD — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing will present a two-part nutrition program free of charge at Hannaford’s, 1603 Main St.

“The Basics of Healthy Eating” will cover nutrition basics, label reading and goal-setting, as well as introduce a healthy recipe or two. The second installment will include a grocery store tour. The program is appropriate for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.

The classes will be offered from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, June 2 and 9.

The programs will be presented by registered licensed dietitian Amanda Ettinger.

Ettinger graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with bachelor’s degrees in accounting and applied human nutrition. She completed an integrated dietetic internship. She works with cancer patients at Central Maine Medical Center and through the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer, Hope & Healing.
