SHERMAN (AP) — The Maine Warden Service says a 38-year-old man is dead after an all-terrain vehicle crash in Sherman.
Corporal John MacDonald of the Maine Warden Service says 38-year-old Bryon Jacobs of Stacyville was pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old passenger was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The passenger reported the accident at about 8:30 Saturday night. The warden service did not identify the teen. McDonald said he is also from Stacyville but is not a relative of Jacobs.
McDonald says it appears the left front tire may have fallen off the vehicle, causing it to overturn. He said Jacobs, who was not wearing a helmet, died of blunt trauma injuries to the head.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
