1951 – 2014

AUBURN — Gerard R. Pelletier, 62, of Lewiston passed away on Saturday night at the Hospice House in Auburn following a short illness.

He was born on Oct. 18, 1951, in St. Basil, New Brunswick, a son of the late Auguste and Noella (Bouchard) Pelletier. He grew up in the St. Basil area and attended school there. Gerard moved to Maine on Nov. 24, 1968, at the age of 17.

Throughout life, Gerard worked several various jobs in area mills and also worked in lawn care and grounds keeping for the Poland Spring Golf Course.

He loved dancing, listening to country music and watching the WWE wrestling, especially Monday Night Raw.

He is survived by his siblings, Mona Thibault and her husband, Normand, of Lisbon, Maurice Pelletier and his wife, Juanita, of Lewiston and Paul Pelletier of Lewiston. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Gerard was predeceased by two sisters, Madeleine Martin and Monique Crabtree; and a brother, Leo Pelletier.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Dr. Roger Austin, MD, for the care and devotion they showed to Gerard in his final days.
