NORWAY — The Progress Center, 35 Cottage St., will hold a Day of Giving from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 6.

The day is set aside to welcome members of the community, local business, friends and supporters to The Progress Center to volunteer side by side with staff and individuals supported at the center. It will also be a chance to meet Jennifer Putnam, new executive director.

This year, one of the projects is maintenance on the completed Matthew Record Memorial Park and Trail. The center is also looking at painting projects and planting shrubs and trees. The project list is growing so there will be something for everyone.

Volunteers will also receive lunch. There will be burgers and hot dogs on the grill.
