DIXFIELD — Gary and Debbie Hanmer of Dixfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Hanmer, to Tim Phair, son of David and Karen Phair of Dixfield.

Miss Hanmer graduated from Dixfield High School in 2003 and attended the University of New England and the University of Fort Kent, earning degrees in medical biology and nursing. She currently works at Southern Maine Healthcare and New England Rehab.

Mr. Phair graduated from Dixfield High School in 2001 and attended Southern Maine Community College. He is currently working for Mechanical Services in Portland as an HVAC technician.

The couple plans to wed in October.
