WILTON — Challenger John Black earned a three-year seat on the Board of Selectmen on Tuesday with 373 votes.

Incumbent Terry Brann was seeking re-election after nine years on the board, but was challenged by Black and Gerald Whitney.

Brann had 171 votes and Whitney had 132, Town Clerk Diane Dunham said.

Selectman Paul Berkey and School Board Director Keith Swett were unopposed in their bids for re-election to three-year terms.

Berkey earned 437 votes and Swett, 475, for re-election.

“Voting in Wilton was awesome,” Dunham said of the steady turnout throughout the day.
