FARMINGTON — Voters in all but two of 10 RSU 9 towns passed a $31 million budget Tuesday by a tally of 1,369-913.

The 2014-15 budget reflects a 4.3 percent, or $1.29 million, increase over this fiscal year’s $29.7 million.

“I am very pleased with the total number of votes the budget passed by and the fact that eight of our 10 towns approved the school budget,” RSU 9 Superintendent Tom Ward said Wednesday. “These are tough times, but I think this demonstrates that, overall, our communities are proud of our schools, support the changes we are making and the direction we are going.”

Town tallies are:

* Chesterville: 63-75

* Farmington: 491-243
