Hardy, Wolf and Downing 6 Pepsi 1

Joel Stubbs pitched a no hitter into the middle of the fifth inning before reaching his pitch count limit and Ryan Marston came in to record the last four outs on the mound to secure 6-1 win for Hardy, Wolf and Downing. Stubbs struck out 10 batters and was helped at the plate by George Romano and Bobby Tremaine. Gunnar Winslow had an exceptional day defensively at second base, including completing a double play to stem a HWD rally. Pepsi had a strong outing on the mound by Patrick Anthoine.

East Auburn rules
East Auburn improved its record to 10-2 with two recent victories. East Auburn defeated Hardy, Wolf and Downing,14-4. Ben Cassidy and Christian Frey had three hits apiece for the victors. Kamden Masselli and Giles Paradie added hits for East Auburn. Masselli also picked up the mound win, tossing 32/3 stellar innings of relief and striking out seven batters along the way. Joel Stubbs and Bobby Tremaine led HWD with two hits apiece, while Jack Hart added a hit.  
 
East Auburn then defeated Pepsi in a hard fought 6-2 victory. Giles Paradie hurled 52/3 scoreless innings, striking out 11 and yielding only one hit, a leadoff single by Patrick Anthoine. Chris Frey pitched the last 11/3 innings to hold the win for East Auburn. Paradie helped his own cause at the plate, going 3-for-3 and driving in three runs. Ben Cassidy and Christian Frey had East Auburn’s other two hits. Cy Saucier clubbed an inside the park home run for Pepsi. Michael Desrosiers also had a hit for Pepsi.
 
Basketball Skills Session
 
Bates College men’s assistant coach Josh LaPrell and local coach Frank Perry will be holding a Basketball Skills Sessions for three weeks. Basketball Skills Sessions are designed to improve your son’s or daughter’s basketball skills. The camp is designed to improve each players fundamental skills, improve in-game decision making, and increase players’ confidence within themselves.
 
LaPrell is entering his fourth season at Bates and brings over 10 years experience coaching youth basketball. Perry will also be assisting with the camps and he brings over 10 years experience coaching youth basketball. The camp runs on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30 on the following Sundays: 6/15, 6/22, and 6/29. The camp is being held at Academy Hill School in Wilton. Boys and girls in the second through eighth grade are able to attend. Cost for the camp is $60 for all three sessions or $20 a session.
