ROOSTERS CANINE TEAM-A team of humans and dogs representing Roosters Roadhouse in Bethel will take part in the second annual Fun Dog Day June 22 to raise funds for Responsible Pet Care shelter in South Paris. The event, beginning with a half-mile walk, runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oxford Fairgrounds in Oxford. Participants can walk with or without a dog. There will also be contests and games. Prizes will be awarded for the top three individual fundraisers, the top team fundraiserand the top junior fundraiser 16 or younger. The money raised will be used to put a pavilion over each of six outside dog kennels at the shelter, so the dogs can go outside more year-round and be sheltered from the weather. Last year the Roosters team, which also had support from 22 Broad Street restaurant, was the top team fundraiser.
