1945 – 2014
AUBURN —Elizabeth “Betty/Grasshopper/Pita” Mears, 69, of Auburn, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 19, and will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
She was born in Lancaster, Pa., on April 25, 1945, the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Royer. She was a longtime employee of The Lamp, both Nursing Home and Alzheimer’s Residential Care Facility, as an executive administrative secretary in Lisbon for 29 years.
Before she passed, she loved bowling, cross-stitching, doing puzzles, playing games on the computer, people and watching them and enjoying life to the fullest. She was a curious person, always asking questions.
She leaves behind some very dear people to her: her Care Bear and his wife, John and Anne Cyr; Vicki and Bob Cline; Tim and Lynn Lane; a brother, Richard G. Royer and sister, Joanne Stanley, both of Connecticut; and her best bud, her son, Johnny the cat.
She was predeceased by her father, Richard Royer Sr., in 1979; and mother, Elizabeth, in 1999.
Her friends would like to thank the staff at Russell Park and hospice nurses and support staff for the wonderful care they provided Betty.
Condolences may be expressed at FuneralAlternatives.net.
