RUMFORD — A celebration of the life of Dr. Wenceslao “Ben” Perez Velez was conducted Saturday, June 7, at Meader & Son Funeral Home in Rumford, with the Rev. Greg Dube officiating.

Music selections included “Besame Mucho (Kiss Me Much More),” “Sin Ti (Without You),” “Father of Girls,” “Impossible,” “Aubrey” and “Smile.” Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Greg Dube at St. John Cemetery in Rumford. Military honors were provided by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta.

A reception followed at Oakdale Country Club in his honor. Bearers were his daughters, Maria, Rebecca and Patricia Perez and Lorna Perez-Caster; son-in-law, Gary Caster; and grandson, Robert W. Meader II.
