1941 – 2014

AUBURN — Jeannine C. Soucy, 72, of Auburn, finally found her way home to the Lord on Friday, June 20, from the Hospice House with her family by her side.

She was born in Auburn on Nov. 27, 1941, to parents Joseph and Dorilda (Lagasse) Cloutier. Jeannine was a longtime member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and enjoyed her Sunday Bible study with friends.

She worked for over 20 years as a CNA at local nursing homes, worked as a shoe-lacer at a local shoe shop and she was also a homemaker.

Jeannine loved listening to country music, doing arts and crafts and reading and crocheting, as well as being outside. She enjoyed nature and going for walks. She also loved animals, especially birds, and especially loved bonfires with family and friends.

Jeannine is survived by a son, Paul Soucy and his wife, Cheryl; two daughters, Kristine Davis and her boyfriend, Dan, and Jo-Ann Soucy; her granddaughters, Lauren Discher and Heather E.D. Cote; stepgranddaughters, Chelsea and Kaeti; a brother, Ernest Cloutier and his wife, Mary; a sister, Julie and her husband, George St. Amand; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Soucy; a son, Joseph Soucy; a granddaughter, Heather Lynn Discher; and an infant brother, Paul Cloutier.
