AVON — A Mercer woman was impaled by a stick through her jaw Sunday when the ATV she was driving on a trail went up some rocks and rolled. She fell off and landed in some brush, Maine Warden Justin Fowlie said Wednesday.
Vicki Dubay, 47, and her passenger were not wearing helmets, Fowlie said.
The accident occurred just before 3 p.m. approximately six miles from the inlet.
Warden Dan Christianson is investigating the incident.
Strong and Phillips fire departments, NorthStar EMS ambulance, a Franklin County deputy and a Maine warden responded to the scene.
