Bird walk at Mingo Springs

RANGELEY — Nature photographer Nick Leadley will lead an early summer bird walk at 7 a.m. Saturday, July 5. This event is open to the public and all are welcome to enjoy a guided two-mile exploration of the Mingo Springs Trail & Bird Walk.

Participants will want to bring along binoculars and cameras. Bird books are also useful. The walk will begin at the Mingo Springs Golf Course maintenance building, with parking available.

Turner Library annual book sale

TURNER — The Turner Public Library will hold its annual book sale from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 4, and from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 5.

Thousands of books, an especially inviting children’s area and videos, CDs and DVDs will be available. Hardcovers $1, paperbacks 50 cents, and children’s books four for $1. Some books will be specially priced.

Wilton Academy alumni gathering

JAY — The annual gathering of Wilton Academy alumni will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, with a social hour, followed by lunch at noon at LaFleur’s Restaurant.

All alumni and their guests are invited. Cost for the meal is $15.

Guests are encouraged to bring memories of their days at Wilton Academy.
