Strawberry festival June 28

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will hold their annual strawberry festival from 7:30 a.m. until noon Saturday, June 28.

Breakfast will be offered from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. The menu will be a choice between: Belgian waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, orange juice and coffee/tea; or pancakes, sausage or bacon, orange juice , coffee/tea. Each option costs $6.50. Add bacon or sausage to the waffle for an additional 50 cents.

There also will be baked goods, raffles, fresh strawberry shortcake with homemade shortcake biscuits and fresh-picked strawberries by the quart or pint. A $25 cash door prize will be drawn at noon.

Lithuanian Heritage Club meeting

RUMFORD — The Lithuanian Heritage Club will meet at noon Wednesday, July 9, at Sam’s Italians on Route 2.

“Immigrants who became Lithuanians by becoming Americans” is this month’s topic, led by Pat Pineau.
