1923 – 2014

LEWISTON — Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother (nana), Muguette Irene Bilodeau Boutin, 91, passed away on Thursday, June 26, at d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in Lewiston on May 19, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Desneige Bilodeau. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School Class of ’42. She married Roland Joseph Boutin on June 27, 1942.

Bunny was self-employed for many years as a beautician and owned and operated her business, Chez Muguette. She attended First Assembly of God Church. For many years, she and her husband, Roland, were active in the development and success of the John F. Murphy Homes for the mentally challenged and were involved from the early beginnings of the L&A Association’s Garcelon School, which also founded the Madison Avenue school programs. She also served as a board member of John F. Murphy Homes for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Roland of Lewiston; two sons, Ronald and Kenneth; a sister, Glorianne Travaglini of Lewiston; brother-in-law, Ken McAuliffe and his wife, Bernice, of Lewiston; and sister-in-law, Dolores Bilodeau of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Tracey and husband, Patrick Hartnett, Michael Boutin and Jamie Mondragon; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Margaret and Thomas Hartnett and Janessa Ouellet-Mondragon.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan; her brother Angelo; and her sister, Nola.
